Red Lobster Rocks my World!

Ok, so yesterday was an amazing FOOD DAY!!!  Totally fell off my Weightwatchers wagon but MAN was it good!  Red Lobster for lunch and Cold Stone Creamery for a mid afternoon snack!  DELISH!!!  Now, I'm dreading my weigh in on Tuesday night but I can honestly say it was worth it!!  Back on track today and still dreaming of the buttery, rich LOBSTER I had yesterday!!

I'm SUPER DUPER excited to have kicked off the NEW Spring/Summer line with Scentsy on Friday night!!  Had my first party with the new products and it went INCREDIBLY WELL!!!  Looking forward to parties again TONIGHT and WEDNESDAY!  Everyone here in Iowa is LOVING the NEW University of Iowa and Iowa State Warmers!! 

I also just finished up listening to my Scentsy weekly Director's Conference Call and was THRILLED to hear my name mentioned THREE times for TOP 10 Team Recognitions!  It is so AMAZING to see my team growing and becoming so successful!  I am SUPER blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with so many amazing people and to LOVE what I do!  You can be a part of it too!!!

Lovin it!

Well, once again, it's been a while since I've updated my blog!  I'm still plugging along slowly but surely with Weightwatchers.  I had my 5th weigh in on Tuesday night and was down exactly ONE MORE POUND!  While I'd love to lose faster, I am MORE THAN HAPPY with my results so far.  I have been far from perfect and have still managed to lose EVERY WEEK!  So, after 5 weeks, I am down a total of 7.2 pounds.  I am beginning to realize that this is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE I can totally live with if I stay smart!  AND, BELIEVE ME....I'M DYING TO TAKE THAT "AFTER" PHOTO!!!!

My goal is to be down another 10-15 pounds by mid June!  I will be heading to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on an ALL INCLUSIVE trip thanks to SCENTSY and can't wait to feel comfortable in my bikini!  I was in Mexico with my Scentsy Family in January and I want to have lost enough that they NOTICE ALL MY HARD WORK!

Making Progress!

Ok, it's been a while since I've blogged so I wanted everyone to know that I haven't given up yet!!  I have managed to lose a little weight every week since I started so it's coming off SLOWLY but SURELY!  I'm down a total of 6.2 pounds which doesn't seem like much until you picture a 6 pound baby, 6 pounds of hamburger or 24 sticks of butter!!!!  Oh ya....I'll get there by summer!!!

It's been crazy busy around here with the new Scentsy products getting ready to launch on March 1st!  Lots of exciting stuff coming and I'm looking forward to showing it off!  Just to name SOME of the new products, we will have shower gels, body butter, body spray, solid perfume, washer whiffs and dryer discs!  FUN FUN FUN!  I'm also looking forward to showing off the new addition to our Scentsy Buddy family....WELLINGTON!!!  Just in time for Easter!  Isn't he adorable!?!?

Bring on the Weekend!

Well, had weigh-in number two on Tuesday and only went down .6 pounds.  I definitely wasn't thrilled with that but considering a wedding, bowling night and Superbowl Sunday kinda took over the weekend, I was pleased that the number went DOWN and not UP!  Besides...someone pointed out that .6 pounds is TWO STICKS OF BUTTER...GONE!!!  :)

The upcoming weekend will be a BLAST but will pose many challenges when it comes to eating and DRINKING!!  I will be heading to Omaha Spring Sprint with my Scentsy peeps!!  I am looking forward to seeing so many people and getting the IN on the upcoming NEW brands and products!

Following our training, a few of us are heading to the casino for some FUN WITH THE GIRLS!!  Eating, drinking and gambling!!!  What more can a girl ask for!?

BEST MONTH TO JOIN SCENTSY!

OMG!!  Super excited for the months to come!  For anyone who  knows me, you know I work FULL TIME as an Independent Scentsy Consultant.  I absolutely LOVE what I do and the products we carry! 

I often have people say thing to me like..."WOW!!  Must be nice to not have to work!"... OR... "Geez...I wish I could just stay at home and do nothing."  ~  Here is what I have to say to that...........

While Scentsy is an amazing opportunity to set my own hours, manage my own business and earn amazing trips....IT DOES REQUIRE WORK ON MY PART!  I currently have a downline of 387 and I try to be a good mentor and leader for them.  I help to train them, inspire them and encourage them ALONG with managing my own schedule and taking care of my own customers.

Week One = SUCCESS

Well, I attended my second Weightwatchers meeting last night and got to hop on the scale once again.  I am pretty pleased with the results of my first week!  I am down 3.2 pounds!  May not seem like much to hear it said like THAT but picture THIS.....3 pounds is equivalent to 12 sticks of butter!!!   

I'm a bit worried about this weekend considering a wedding, bowling night and the Superbowl are all good reasons to eat and DRINK!!  Hoping I can come up with a plan and STICK TO IT!!!

Well, I made the mistake of getting on the scale at home today instead of waiting until tomorrow!  I know I shouldn't complain but I'm only down TWO POUNDS!  I really wanted to lose about 20 overnight!  LOL  Honestly....I'm on my way and I am sticking with the program just the way I should.  If I'm too strict, I will quit.  If I lose too fast, chances are I'll gain it back.  So, until tomorrow's OFFICIAL Weightwatchers weigh-in, I will be happy with where I'm at!  I'll keep you updated with the official numbers!

On another note, I just made this awesome map which shows the areas of the U.S. where my Scentsy group is located.  My goal for the next few months will be to fill in the white states!  So, if you or someone you know would be interested in earning some extra money or growing their own home business, be sure to let me know!!!

I Get Better with Age!

Well, I made it through my first day of counting points with no problems!  I was even able to avoid going to that Chinese restaurant that I was stressing about.  My friend and I wound up at the casino having a salad instead!! Whew!  I may not have lost many pounds yesterday but I lightened my wallet a little!

Last night I decided to get back into another routine.  WASHING MY FACE before bed and using my Aloette skincare products!  I have really gotten out of this habit too and these wrinkles that are taking over my face tell the whole story!  Did you know that when you go to bed without washing your face, your skin actually ages an ADDITIONAL 7-10 days every night?!  YIKES!  I just received one of Aloette's newest products and am getting back at it!  It is called the Roll Away Smoothing Eye Pen.  I'm loving it so far!

Well, it was very eye-opening to see my own BEFORE pictures posted for the world to see yesterday.  I have had several people tell me I am CRAZY and MANY tell me I am BRAVE!  The feedback I have gotten is wonderful and it sounds like there are so many of you out there who plan to start your own journey right along with me!  I'm REALLY thankful that I have not had any negative feedback!  I'm not sure how I would handle that.  So, if you are thinking negative thoughts about my blog, THANK YOU for keeping it to yourself!  :)

Regardless, today will be the first day of staying on track with the program and I already have to hurdle a chinese restaurant for lunch.  WISH ME LUCK making wise choices!

And it begins.....

This girl has GOT to get back into shape before the Scentsy Incentive Trip to Punta Cana in June!  Tonight I will be attending my first Weightwatchers meeting of the year. As you are about to see, it is loooong overdue! I honestly cannot believe I am about to post these BEFORE pictures but here goes nothin......

If seeing this doesn't motivate me...NOTHING WILL!!  UGH!

HELLO MONDAY!!!!  Woke up to a little SNOW and ICE!  Just enough for schools to cancel!!  Today is going to be a day of playing catch up considering I spent the majority of the weekend either in bed or on the couch watching movies.  That's what weekends are for, RIGHT??

So, the next thing on my agenda today was to RE-JOIN Weightwatchers.  I have been a member off and on since 1991 when my oldest daughter, Brittany, was born.  I have had great success with this program each time I joined and FOLLOWED THE PLAN.  However, as of yet, I cannot seem to get the maintenance part down.  So, just as I have planned MANY times, my goal is to reach a healthy goal weight and learn to change my eating habits permanently so that I can maintain rather than YO-YO!  If you are wanting to lose a few pounds or even a WHOLE BUNCH of pounds, I truly believe this is the best program out there!


I definitely plan to get a BEFORE picture posted here so that I can blog my progress as I go.  NOW THIS is a good way to stay motivated!  Maybe even a picture in my bikini.....ummm...NO, probably not!  As soon as I find someone to take my picture, I will post.  CHECK BACK SOON!

As an Independent Star Director with Scentsy Wickless Candles, I just spent an amazing week in Mexico at our Leadership Retreat.  I was able to meet sooooooo many inspiring people and learn from the best of the best!  The one thing I learned from these people is that they work hard and never stop dreaming!
